Missionary Internships - Guatemala City

Dates: Ongoing; volunteers may serve for three months or longer, depending upon field staff capacity.

Experience God's grace in hard places! Estragegia de Transformación (Strategy of Transformation) is a ministry that exists to equip the church in Latin America to effectively reach high-risk youth and their families in hard places.

Responsibilities: Will vary based upon volunteer's interests and abilities; areas of ministry may include after-school programs, life-skills development, ministry to street youth or to gang members/prisoners, evangelistic outreach,  working with victims of domestic violence and/or sexual exploitation, HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness, assisting local churches with outreach ministries.  

Number of openings:  Open, depending upon field staff capacity.

Qualifications:  Applicants must have at least an intermediate level of conversational Spanish ability. Native Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply. Must be 18 or older. Some experience in the volunteer's area of interest is recommended. Volunteers should expect a moderate to high level of physical exertion. Skill in art, music, or dance is helpful.

Approximate Cost:  $6000 USD for the first three months; approximately $1500/month for each additional month.
