French Ice Coffee


Mali

3 cups strong coffee
1 1/4-2 cups sugar
1 pint cream
1 quart milk
2 teaspoons vanilla

Dissolve sugar in hot coffee.  Cool, then add remaining ingredients.  Pour into a covered 9x13 inch pan and freeze.  Remove from freezer two hours before serving (one hour in Mali and 1/2 hour on hot days.)  Use a potato masher to break it up.  Serve very icy, like slush.

Serves 6.
