Suggestions for use:
- Make a thermometer chart with a drawing of the goal at the top and color in the amount that is given each week until you reach the top.
- Show a video, available free of charge from Christian Reformed World Missions, which is related to the project for which you are raising money.
- If you are raising money for a set of things, make a picture chart, with a stick person for every 10 people you are helping, a row of chairs representing each chair you are helping to purchase, or a stack of books for each Bible you buy.
- Hold a fundraiser, whether a dessert evening, a dinner, or perhaps a marathon where you ask people to sponsor you.
For Sunday Schools or Children’s Groups:
- Find someone in your congregation who has knowledge of your project. If you choose a medical work project, ask a nurse or doctor in your congregation to explain to the Sunday School why other countries need medical help. If you raise money for a motorcycle or a two-way radio, see if someone in your church owns one and could demonstrate.
- Use the Activity Book to help kids think about missions.
