Strengthening Christian Libraries Internationally
Purpose of the Project
The purpose of Strengthening Christian Libraries Internationally (SCLI) is to enhance the value of the library (information services) functions of CRWM’s Seminary and Bible School partners throughout the world. This is accomplished by providing training/mentoring for librarians and facilitating connections to internet, as well as hard-copy, library resources.
A growing number of institutions recognize that their libraries need to be updated for the information age we live in. Many of CRWM’s partners have librarians who are eager to be equipped to serve their institution better. We are currently working with librarians and libraries in many places in the world, including: Russia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Uganda and others.
Volunteer Opportunities

We are always looking for qualified Christian librarians interested in short–term (2 weeks to 2 months) volunteer work as on-site mentors to librarians internationally. To learn more about these opportunities contact the project coordinator: Ray Bouma at rbouma@crcna.org.
Funding Opportunity
We currently need $25,000 so that this project can continue. Funds raised help our volunteers to mentor librarians internationally, cover travel costs of our Project Coordinators as they assess the needs and assets of prospective partners, and help them orient new mentors. To make a donation, phone us, mail a check (with the specific name of the project on the memo line), or donate online. Thank you for
supporting World Missions!
