Asia Partnerships: Cambodia, Laos, India, Myanmar, Nepal

Ministry at a Glance

CRWM works in the following countries exclusively through national partners. We do not have any North American missionaries living in any of these countries.

Facets of Ministry in Asia

Laos - Laos neighbors Cambodia and is also a place where the rapidly growing church is in need of training for its leadership. CRWM partners with others to promote an indigenous training program for church pastors and other leaders. This project is still in its beginning stages.

India - In India, we partner with the Mizoram Presbyterian Synod Mission which is the agency of the more than 400,000 member Mizoram Presbyterian Church in North Eastern India. This denomination sends out over 1400 missionaries, mostly within northern India. We are sending a retired professor to give a special lecture series at their seminary.

Nepal - World Missions also provides a small grant to the Mizoram Presbyterian Synod Mission to enable them to send four Indian nurses to Nepal. These nurses work with a pastor or church planter in Nepali cities or villages so that the gospel is witnessed to holistically. Through this kind of arrangement we are able to add value to what our Indian partner is able to do in Nepal.

Myanmar - Myanmar (formerly Burma) borders the state of Mizoram in India.   The Mizoram Presbyterians want to send 40 teachers into Myanmar to teach in local public schools in rural areas. These Christian teachers will be able to provide Christian instruction to young people in this land in which there is so much turmoil. CRWM provides a small grant to supplement the salaries of these teachers.
