Getting Started

You're ready to begin the journey that will expand your vision for global outreach.
Here are some suggestions for getting started.

Step 1:  Check it out

Browse our website for more information on church missions coaching.  Be sure to check out our FAQs as well as the Resources and Tools.  If you have specific questions, contact one of the coaches listed under Contacts.

Step 2:  Share the idea

Take the idea of coaching to your global outreach team, missions committee, or other church leadership.  Pray about it.  Then decide if church missions coaching is right for you.

Step 3:  Set up a free 45-minute Introductory Session

To give you a better idea of what church missions coaching is all about, one of our coaches will come to your church and meet with a missions team or committee.  The coach will give a brief presentation of church missions coaching and answer any questions you might have about the process.  Contact a coach in your area to set up the Introductory Session.

Step 4:  Schedule the Discovery Workshop

In the three-hour Discovery Workshop you assess who you are as a church - your gifts, passions, vocations, resources, vision, values, strengths, and weaknesses.  Then you explore where God is leading you.  The Discovery Workshop gives you a chance to determine whether you are ready to commit to the longer-term process of coaching without any obligation to continue.

Step 5:  Embark on the journey of realizing your missions potential

Sign a letter of agreement expressing your commitment to continue on the 6-9 month journey of strengthening the global outreach ministry of your church.
