Baked Chicken

2 spring chickens
1/2 cup natural yogurt
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground tumeric
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons meat tenderizer
   (or ground green papaya)
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 teaspoon sugar
5 drops yellow food coloring

Cut each chicken into four pieces.  Combine the rest of the ingredients and marinate chicken in the mixture for at least 4 hours.  Bake at 350° for 2 hours or until done, turning once.  Chicken can be broiled over charcoal heat if desired.  Serve with fried bread and salad.

Serves 8.
