Roots Church of Seattle is seeking to be a community which joins up with God's already present interaction within our locale. We see the life, death, and resurrection of Christ as the most profound example of love the world has ever known. Roots is passionate about proclaiming and living out this gospel in an honest manner that manifests it into every aspect of God's world. Just as Jesus deliberately came to us, we seek to model him by deliberately going out into our areas and inviting the lonely, overworked, underpaid, and disillusioned into a faith-practice of family and stability. Roots was tenderly launched out of nearby Cascade Neighborhood Church in the fall of 2010, and gathers each week in local living rooms to read the ancient scriptures, take communion, pray in Jesus' name, and lean on each other as a community of faith. We desire to be filled with the Spirit for vitality and power as we come alongside our neighbors and invite them to live into their identity as God's children, beautiful and deeply precious.
