Midwest LDN

Midwest Leadership Development Network (LDN) is one of 7 LDN’s in the U.S. LDNs provide an opportunity to acquire needed ministry skills and training for those who sense a call to ministry but are unable to pack up and move to seminary because of the necessity of raising support and caring for young families. They are typically a three year evangelist and church planter training program that deals with the necessary knowledge and skills for practical ministry. LDN training is sanctioned by the Christian Reformed Church and is the minimum necessary education for a Church Planter with the CRC. Although it is not an alternative to Seminary, it is possible for an individual who has completed LDN training and has a call (a specific place where the ordained individual will minister) to be ordained as a “Ministry Associate” (a fully ordained individual is a “Minister of the Word”).
