Conference Teaches Hundreds How to Become Apprentices of Jesus...
Christian Reformed Home Missions and the Reformed Church of America recently hosted the event “Becoming an Apprentice of Jesus,” which centered on a book series by keynote speaker James Bryan Smith.
The Apprentice Series is a set of three books (The Good and Beautiful God, The Good and Beautiful Life, The Good and Beautiful Community) that aims to help the reader develop a spirit like that of Jesus. The event, which took place on November 4 and 5 at Calvin Theological Seminary (CTS), was a partnership between Christian Reformed Home Missions, the Reformed Church in America, Western Theological Seminary, and Calvin Theological Seminary.
In addition to the main site at CTS, which had 125 attendees, the event was broadcast live to five other sites around the country: Ontario, Canada; Albany, New York; Wyckoff, New Jersey; Denver, Colorado; and Johnston, Iowa. More than 120 additional attendees were at these sites!
