Glimpses of God at Work on the West Coast

Four years ago, the Home Missions West Coast regional team recognized a need and developed a vision for clusters of pastors who get together for learning, encouraging, accountability, and dreaming. Each month, ministry leaders started gathering to share, care, and pray together. After team members consulted at length with each other, the goal was set at 85 participants after one year.

“Already at the launch of the LEAD Teams, God blessed us with over 110 pastors and point leaders who wanted to be part of these teams,” says Holwerda. “That has now become about 170 pastors and point leaders of ministries in 20 strategic clusters up and down the West Coast. It’s a great joy to see God using and blessing LEAD mentors and colleagues as they do life and ministry together, rather than doing it like ‘Lone Rangers.’ We really need one another in order to keep the Christ light shining brightly.”
