One Hope Community Church

One Hope Community Church was planted in the summer of 2009 in Feltonville, a neighborhood with no church presence. The ministry’s goal is meeting the needs of this marginalized and hurting community by reaching out to its neighbors.

The community is racially diverse and almost universally poor (the median family income is $18,080). Drug and alcohol abuse are also problems.

One Hope has prevention programs for family, children, and youth, as well as educational ministries, such as an academic summer camp, and ministry for the poor. The church also intends to serve and empower indigenous leadership to impact the community both socially and spiritually through fostering a personal relationship with Christ and an active participation in the church.
