Dear Family, Friends and supporters of Discovery Church,
This week five years ago we were gearing up for the launch of Discovery Church... now we're gearing up for a celebration of God's work through Discovery Church over the past five years!
Last night at our "members/regular attenders" meeting it was shared how God has blessed Discovery Church financially and people wise! We started with 7 'families' from Rehoboth CRC here in Bowmanville as well as with 10 people from an ALPHA/Beta group... +/- 75 people. ( adults and children) This past Sunday we had over 160 present to celebrate yet another baptism! Martin reported that over the five years [as well as couple before we officially launched] there have been at least 45 people who have been baptised (children and adult) or did Profession of Faith (youth and adult) ... and that many or more who have recommitted their lives to living for Christ.. and more who have grown deeper in love with Jesus... through Discovery Church God has sent out and helped us support numerous Missionaries on short and long term projects in various areas of the world...
