Timothy Brown, is the President of Western Theological Seminary, in Holland, Michigan. Tim brings to the task of teaching preaching twenty years of pastoral leadership, most of which was spent at Christ Memorial Church in Holland. During his tenure at Western Theological Seminary he also jointly held a position at Hope College as the Hinga-Boersma Dean of the Chapel from 2001-2003. He is a frequent speaker at pastor’s conferences, college and seminary campuses, church renewal events, and is a frequent contributor to a range of periodicals and publications in pastoral theology, including the newly released “Renovare Spiritual Formation Bible” and “Preaching Today”, a preaching resource of Christianity Today.
He is married to Nancy Johnson Brown, and together they have three married children and five beautiful grandchildren with more on the way!

Harvey Carey is widely known for his remarkable ability to communicate the transforming truth of God's Word. He is the Founder and Senior Pastor of the Citadel of Faith Covenant Church in Detroit, Michigan. Known for ministry to urban youth and families, his passion is to reach the "hopeless" with the message of Jesus Christ. As a Youth Pastor in one of the most devastated communities in inner city Chicago, Pastor Carey developed a nationally emulated youth ministry model with a group that grew from 12 to over 1,500 at-risk youth. Pastor Carey has also trained and led ministry teams into housing projects, shopping malls, and public schools in urban areas across the country, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Joyce Rees has served as the director of Jacob’s Well since it was founded six years ago. Jacob’s Well is a relationally focused ministry in the downtown eastside of Vancouver, Canada’s poorest neighbourhood. (www.jacobswell.ca) Joyce served as a pastor for 6 years prior to taking her role at Jacob’s Well and currently leads a small congregation in the downtown eastside. In addition she has spent the last 9 years teaching extensively about justice. Joyce brings a vital challenge to the church regarding current paradigms of ministry with marginalized people.
