New Life Prison Church is a ministry supported by Classis Central Plains and pastored by Rick Admiraal. This ministry effort serves the inmates as Newton Correctional Facility through a weekly Tuesday “New Life in Prayer” group and a Thursday night “New Life in the Word” Bible study group. Through these weekly times together, Pastor Rick shares that “guys have begun to open up their lives… sharing new insights with one another. It has been a joy to be able to pray for one another. We are building community day by day through the power of the Holy Spirit”. Along with these small groups, New Life hopes to begin weekly worship services in the year ahead.

New Life’s core values are community building and discipleship training. As community continues to be built, Pastor Rick says that “In the future, discipleship will become a key emphasis. We need to develop the leadership skills of the inmates involved so that they can take ownership and make decisions affecting the life of the church.”
