Small Group Ministry Developers

 

Averill, Diane - Diane is the Home Missions' Small Group Ministry Developer for the East Coast. A speaker and writer with a degree in education from Gordon College, Diane has co-authored Bible studies on Hosea, sharing your faith, and others designed to reach people unfamiliar with the Bible. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband, Brent, a minister. They have four adult children and two sons-in-law.
         

Cornejo, Viviana
- Viviana is the Home Missions' Small Group Ministry Developer for Hispanic Ministry. She was born and raised in Chile and came to the US nine years ago. She has three wonderful daughters, two sons-in-law, and a cute cat. Vivi loves to write and read, enjoys being outdoors, and vacations whenever possible in Chile with family and friends. She has served in a variety of positions in the church and in the community. She also serves with the antiracism team in Home Missions.
       
Dykgraaf, Diane
- Diane is the Small Group Ministry Developer for the Great Lakes Region and Children's Ministry Specialist for CRC Home Missions.  She serves her church as a Small Group leader and a Story Hour leader.  She enjoys writing, music, worship, and family.  Diane is married, has 5 children and 8 grandchildren.  Her busy family inspires her to encourage those who bring the gospel to the next generations.


Lensink, Marian
- is the Home Missions' Small Group Ministry Developer for Central and Eastern Canada. With her husband Homer and three boys, Marian is an active member of Faith Christian Reformed Church in Burlington, Ontario. She brings several years of small group ministry experience, including 15 years with Coffee Break, four as coordinator and director of the program. She loves music, leads a worship team small group and has managed a book store.


Hoogeveen, Lois
- Lois is the Home Missions' Small Group Ministry Developer for Midwest US. She and her husband live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he is the pastor of a church that seeks to share God's love with everyone.  Lois desires to help churches design ministries where both believers and seekers encounter people who care, find purpose in life, grow in Christ-likeness and respond to their unique call to serve.  The Hoogeveens have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren and enjoy camping and playing board games with family and friends.
     

Huizenga, Sam- Sam is a Small Group Ministry Developer with Christian Reformed Home Missions.  Sam is also involved with Small Group Leadership and Coffee Break at River Rock Church in Rockford MI, where husband Jon is the pastor.  Four children and one son-in-law call her mom.  Sam loves walking and running, quilting and hanging out in the neighborhood.
      

 

Kelder, Ruth - Ruth Kelder is a Small Group Ministry Developer with Christian Reformed Home Missions. Her extensive experiences in ministry both as a volunteer and managing volunteers has convinced her that volunteers are the power of the church. Ruth and her husband, Peter, live near Chicago and have four children and two children-in-law.



Paek, Kyu and Grace
- Kyu and Grace are the Home Missions' Small Group Ministry Developers for Koreans in the US. They have led small group Bible studies for over 20 years, and desire to nurture Korean Americans to lead others to Jesus. Grace and Kyu have two daughters.




Proctor-Gibbs, Victoria
- Victoria is the Home Missions' African American Small Group Ministry Developer. Having experienced personal healing through the 12-Step Program, Victoria eagerly points others in that same direction. She also serves as an anti-racism trainer for the Christian Reformed Church. Mother of five adult children and grandmother of seven, Victoria lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.


Wilk, Karen -
Karen currently serves as Pastor of Community Life and Discipleship at the River Community Church in Edmonton, Alberta and is a Home Mission's Ministry Developer in western Canada. She has a Masters in Theological Studies from Tyndale Seminary. Along with preaching and teaching in numerous places, Karen has written a number of children and youth curricula, a family devotional, Walk with Me, Jesus and the Together All God's People Guidebook for churches. She and her husband Steve have 3 daughters, 11, 16, and 19 and enjoy outdoor activities as well as getting together with friends and neighbors.
