Content Management Systems

Content management system (CMS) is a computer software system for organizing and facilitating the collaborative creation of documents and other content. A content management system is often a web application used for managing websites and web content, though in some cases, content management systems require special client software for editing and constructing articles.

Our CMS has been built for managing web content. It currently requires only a browser and access is via a login and password. Need (or forget) your login and password? Contact us.

This and the following pages show you step-by-step how to use the CMS.

Before You Begin

If you have lots of pages to add, it's best to start with a list of pages before you begin adding them here. Although web pages can be viewed in any order, it helps to establish a structure or a desired order for viewing the content. A spreadsheet is great for this. Use rows to represent individual pages and columns to indent these pages to show the relationship of one page to another:

This is also a good time to think about page names. Establish a naming convention that will work for now and for the future when others might have to figure out what page contains what information.

Once you have your list of pages complete and have worked out the basic structure of the site, you're ready to add pages using the Navigation Builder.
