Justice Spotlight: Poverty & Socio-Economic Policy
The CCG has done a significant amount of work and reflection on a Christian response to poverty and socio-economic justice.

Here is a sampling of past work:
  • Good News to the Poor (1999), by the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. This background paper is a biblical primer on poverty, written to help contemporary Christians understand the importance of the Bible's message about poor neighbours. It sets out a biblically based framework for understanding and acting on poverty in today's society. Good News to the Poor examines: (1) who are the poor? (2) the nature of poverty, wealth and idolatry, (3) the relationship of poverty to grace, (4) the spiritual roots of present-day poverty, (5) the ways contemporary differentiated society can engage poverty, and (6) the state's distinct role in addressing poverty.

  • Homelessness and Underhousing in Canada , a CCG background paper.

  • Towards Shalom: Living Standards and the Common Good, a CCG submission to the TD Forum on Canada's Standard of Living.
