Peacebuilding in Afghanistan: MOBILIZE
CCG helps to enable faithful Christian political action, and has made it easy to get informed and get involved. Here are ways each CRC member can work for peace:

  1. Meet or write your Member of Parliament. This person is your voice in the ongoing Canadian discussion on peacebuilding—they need and want to hear from you!

    • Who is my MP? Enter your postal code in this online tool to find out.

    • Try to organize a meeting with them, or simply write them a letter. Email is easy, and postal mail to Members' Ottawa address is free.
      Send letters to:
           MP's Name
           House of Commons
           Ottawa, ON
           K1A 0A6
    • Need help articulating your views? CCG can help!
      • Start from this sample letter (MS Word format). Remember to personalize it as much as possible, for maximum effect!
      • In a meeting or correspondence, try using "Talking Points" prepared by CCG.

  2. Spread the word. CCG has prepared a pamphlet urging action for peace in Afghanistan . Email it around, or print it out, put it in church mailboxes, tack it to bulletin boards and fridges, and get your fellow Christians thinking, learning, acting and praying about Canada's role in Afghanistan.

  3. Pray.
