In 1969 The Back to God Hour began broadcasting in the French language to people in Quebec and Europe. Before long a strategic decision was made to focus on the more than 30 French-speaking countries on the African continent, as well as Haiti. Since 1999, Rev. Paul Mpindi, a native of Congo, has directed the French ministry.
Messages are recorded in several different formats to reach many different types of listeners. Mrs. Charlotte Mpindi records a special program for women in French-speaking Africa. Follow-up centers have been established in Kinshasa, Congo and Bangui, Central African Republic that, together, handle more than 3,500 visitors and pieces of mail each month. Unique marketplace and taxicab ministries have been established in these cities.
