English Language Ministry

The vision of The Back to God Hour began with one radio broadcast on one local radio station in December of 1939. From those small beginnings,The Back to God Hour English radio ministry has expanded immensely. Today, The Back to God Hour radio program is broadcast worldwide. Each year listeners from more than 170 countries contact one of the follow-up centers in the U.S., Canada, Nigeria or the Philippines.

Our new program, Spotlight, offers a unique opportunity to reach listeners for whom English is a second language. Spotlight is aired on more than 60 stations internationally. Visit the Spotlight website to download programs, read scripts, or contact the Spotlight team.

More than 460,000 copies of the TODAY devotional booklet are distributed worldwide every other month. It is also available by daily e-mail subscription and at www.btgh.org.

Ministry Leader: Rev. Steven Koster

Steven Koster joined The Back to God Hour ministry team in June 2006, bringing with him a wealth of media knowledge and experience, as well as a heart for outreach. Steven’s journey to the ministry comes from a passion to use media and technology to build Christian communities. He continues to address issues of media in worship and has created a website called Leading With Light.

Before pursuing the M.Div. degree at Calvin Theological Seminary, Steven Koster was Senior Product Manager at Avid Technology, Inc. and Executive Producer for Calvin College. He also founded a worldwide user community of professional film and video editors, served as President of FreeNet Services, Inc. and as a trustee of Grandnet, Inc. He holds a BA from Calvin College and an MA in Telecommunication from Michigan State University.
