CRWM Selects New Canada Donor Developer

February 13, 2014

Lawrence Lutgendorff has been selected to serve as Canada Donor Developer for Christian Reformed World Missions (CRWM). He replaces Al Karsten who retired at the end of January after 20 years with World Missions.

Lutgendorff  has been executive director of the Ontario Association of Christian Schools Foundation for the last five years.

For the Christian Reformed Church in North America, he worked as one of the first volunteer regional coordinators for Servicelink, the denomination’s volunteer program.

He has also been a youth ministry consultant for Classis Eastern Canada, and represented Classis Quinte at Synod on two occasions.

“I am excited to have Larry join the CRWM advancement team,”said Steve Kabetu, the Canada director for CRWM.

“He brings the same high level of integrity and heart for missions we had in Al and he brings the expertise in the area of advancement that we have been seeking.”

Lutgendorff has a master’s degree with a focus on international relations and community development. He has 20 years of experience working with Christian organizations and charities and has also achieved the professional certification known as CFRE or certified fundraising executive.

“I am looking forward to working with the entire CRWM team and in particular missionaries on the field.” said Lutgendorff.

“I have the wonderful job of connecting individuals and churches to opportunities to tell the world about God’s love. What could be better than inviting people to participate in that mission?”
