The books have parallel columns of Pular and Greek to help readers recognize the importance of the Bible's original language. Pray that God's Word will bear fruit among the Fulbe people. Pray also for protection for all who are distributing these books. World Relief: Pray that the church of Jesus Christ around the world may be empowered to show leadership, compassion, and Christlike passion to address the scourge of HIV/AIDS. No other institution has the values, the distribution network, the volunteers, and the staying power that mark the body of Christ. From the Back to God Hour: During the Christmas season people seem to be more open to hearing about the Christ who was born to save us. Churches and individuals throughout Brazil are distributing 600,000 copies of a special Christmas devotional booklet produced by The Back to God Hour's Portuguese ministry. Pray that as people read the true story of Christ, his birth, and God's plan of salvation, hearts will be changed and people will commit their lives to serving him. From Faith Alive Christian Resources: Please pray for staff editors, writers, and trainers as they work to develop new materials for children's education, worship, small-group Bible study, discipleship and leadership training, and a parents' newsletter for the coming year. Please also ask for continued wisdom in shaping these products and services for the good of Christ's kingdom-that many more people today may come to know God and grow closer to him, for Jesus' sake.
